And a few meetups later...the eve of the big day! at HL's hse..thankfully for shiqi who could chauffeur us ard with her car.

The final product for the film reel. sometimes im really awed by the amount of artistic talent Odac possess....all the talent and genius!amazing!anyway HL was being really cooperative by shutting herself in the room while we put up the decors and stuff..then i went home to change and to get the cake from plaza sing..a size 10..but by my standard it was fucking big!! and so paiseh..carrying in around the mrt..wearing formal somemore!! zzz.oh! on a sidenote..im glad we all wore formal!! nobody ps..and it really made the pics very happening..

we had picture taking,food,video screening and of coz birthday cake! basically almost everyone at the party knew abt the video (cause they are in it!) with the exception of the bday girl..thankfully it was well received, coz all had ownership.lol ! but i still tot hL started crying too early though.like wth.3 mins only start crying..

I couldnt make it through the night too..haha..cannot take too much alcohol..so i went to sleep..woke up to find spencer,shawn,yg who was faithfully protecting the hse. sent them home using hL's dad's car..then put back the car..and i took mrt home.poor driver..Zz.but at least i got to drive a huge lexus around!lol.

Im happy :) Just came back from a post-christmas dinner at my cousin's house..10 of us...found it quite amazing that even though its been so long since we've met up, we could still click quite well...blood ties run deep huh...anyway..i really enjoyed the steamboat session...loads of laughter and smiles!! after that - mahjong...had my first big win of 5 tai..with alot of guidance from my 8th aunt..haha!!! but it sure was nerve wrecking man... really enjoyed the present exchange too!! we all had a good laugh at the present our smallest cousin bought for the exchange ^^ Merry Christmas ppl... =)

anyway i swear, i'll be one of the safest driver around. =)

Just came home from the family day held in sengkang...was quite impressed that a single tower that allows zipline, climbing, abseiling and jumaring could be erected in the middle of an open field..didn't know adventure stuff could be so mobile...and sam taught us jumaring, did it for the first time!! its actually a vertical ascent..using 2 jumars(duh) and a single leg loop to push yourself up the rope..abit tiring but quite fun.haha..glad to have learnt something xD. only tried once though..and was only a testing ascent..so didnt go up all the way..would have had more time to try if not for the rain..
got to see the 23rd and 24th comm too!! even though Mr Chin is in charge now..(meaning different focus, different kind of training) i sorta saw a little bit of the 21st comm in them ~_~ , not hard to imagine that 2, 3 years back we were doing the same sort of stuff, playfully having fun and enjoying each others company...then of course every batch is different and unique. Sorta remember those days which i only reach home when the sun has set, get a shower,gobble up my dinner, if there's stuff to plan i'll frantically go in front of my com to type type type then send send send and then i'll do my homework...eventually i'll be lying on my bed and reading econs notes till i fall asleep..never fails.lol.

i wanted to list down the names of all the special peeps i wanted to thank, but i didnt, for im sure u all already know who u are =)

im back :) wallaby was a great experience, it wasn't a walk in the park, with insufficient sleep, lack of manpower and the crazy weather, the days hot and sandy, the nights freezing cold. But i feel that my platoon bonded really well, undertaking a job which traditionally requires much more ppl, and putting in great effort to do our part.imagine a platoon with only 1 PC,3 3SGs,1 CPL. setting up a grand total of
200+ HMCT lines
18 RCE phones
28 remote lines (we had to trod up and down the slope countless times)
1 PA (solely thanks to nic)

during the exercise
not to mention the countless of fire fighting sessions which we had to get to the signallers who are almost nver manning their comms. Im proud we got through it and we've learnt much.
Got to know a few NS men too, and i realised that even though the NSmen were supposedly married, accomplished, mature, during reservist, they seemingly transformed into 17,18 year old lads , singing birthday songs LATE in the night, gathering and having nightly chats, catching up on each others lives.in short,they seem just like us. Seems like their NS secured unbreakable bonds on each and everyone of them during their NSF days.is this what they call the NS experience? If so, i guess such an experience was worth the discomforts we had to put up with.The night sky was always brilliant with stars too =) nothing beats the comforts of home though.Im glad im home, home sweet home.

Alright...my 1 week of offs has finally ended..im thankful for it, been long since i've had the freedom to do what i feel like doing, the visits to zy's house, jogging swimming with spencer and shawn, celebrating allan's birthday, finishing a few books, all the disastrous driving lessons ~_~ , the attempt at swimming with jo.lol. =) Im glad i spent it leading the normal life too.haha. looking forward to the future =)

i nver use to count weekends,but now i count every single one of them, making sure i maximise them, making sure i spend every single one meaningfully. I guess this is what happens when ur movements gets restricted and u gotta book in every weekend.

just found out that my cousin in ntu just got attached yesterday,someone from his class..so happy for him :) after hearing about so many breakups over the past 1 year and 6 months (including my own.lol)its really heartening to hear about people getting together.i guess i understand why so many couples break up and patch so many times over, its really tough forgetting, seems like every small incident, any familiar scene will trigger past memories, what seem to be sad/boring/dull memories in the past will suddenly appear fine and sweet.but i know my previous one is past,gone,history.im glad to have learnt much from it though.thanks pal.

4 more months till my ord, didnt realise it till Spencer mentioned it while swimming today.how time flies.new specs coming in the Bn and stuff, im really glad my understudy's easy to get along with, and we click quite well too :) one chapter of my life ending soon.but there's still wallaby...

Gunong Datuk trip
yay!! needless to say, it was really fun !!! been long since i've trekked,slowly trudging through the shrubbery,sweating,talking and laughing.. enjoying the company of fellow LAO odacians, 17 of us in total...lol.but the best part was the summit ..high up...looking down at the open landscape.scary but really therapeutic. =) Fri night: met up with shawn,wing,ying and shing at Aj gate...great place with great memories, found out that the gym has been refurbished!now there's aircon and new equipment (i think)...but the gym toilet is still the same...some things are really better unchanged :) spent the rest of the time playing cards and chatting with the seniors till the coach came at 3am..
reached malacca at around 7...then started the trek up which took around 2 hours, but the view at the summit was really paranomic :) spent quite a long time on the summit, listening to Mr Lim's love story and basically just lazing around..lolz..there was a nice sun up there so i think we all got a little sunburnt ..haha..after that was R&R at malacca! enjoyed the little walk around the area..the food was great..and bought myself a cheapskate rubiks cube for s$1.50..but the quality is damn bad la..can only spin in one direction sometimes..lol..
was back in sg at ard 1am...luckily for us elaine was there with the intention to send ppl home,so she sent shing back while sam ferried us home in his van..collapsed as soon as i got back home and slept till 2pm today..haha...its really been long since i've felt this kind of happiness.Its a surreal feeling...what a wonderful trip :D

Army Open House

Finally!! the end of open house..returned home this morning to enjoy the hard-earned off...spent half day sleeping.lol..but need to book in back tonight cause there's wallaby packing to do and ops stuff..was quite pissed off when i learned that i have to burn yet another saturday..4 weekends in a row liao..rehearsal,ahm,aoh and now packing..had to forego the NUS mass swim thingy for this also..sian!but i guess i've learnt much from this Aoh..lol..firing of mg..driving bronco at high speed..witnessing the carnival-like atmosphere of aoh..kinda enjoyed the experience..even though it was damn tiring... got a call from my PC in the afternoon...felt quite sian after talking...feeling stretched man..stress...hai..as what he said,training me for the real world out there,being an asset by doing more, even though i know its true,part of me knows that im just doing his job for him...but i know i'll come out of this stronger....right?

Here i am, blogging on a saturday night..sadly, a "no life" feeling up-arising.I wouldn't say today was spent meaninglessly..at least i had a lousy driving lesson which i spent struggling with the clutch..and then swimming with shawn which was slightly better, but a bit more lonely without Spencer..who's flying of for Aus tonight..bon voyage spency boy~

hmm..what should i say? Life has been pretty busy nowadays with quite a number of commitements in the Bn...but thankfully i can enjoy the freedom my weekends still :) just can't wait for Army open house to end so that i can rest...after that Wallaby..and then ORD!!

mixed feelings about ORDing..while i'll be free from the regimentation of the army, It'll be another step toward adulthood..haha..im sure most of us will lament how time seem to fly nowadays..gonna be 20 soon...21 will fly past too im sure...more responsibilities, more work, more regrets.

Had an eventful day today!...went to visit little Derrick Khoo(my nephew) in Gleneagles this morning for his meal...really dont know how to describe the experience..it was quite magical..and the trip really made my day..i think im gonna enjoy being an uncle :D

heelllo guys, im back...actually been back for quite some time already..just didnt feel like typing anything.lol..taiwan was good, a new experience,saw and learnt quite alot of stuff,experienced quite extreme weathers,witnessed various human emotions in work,at play..etc....made a couple of new buddies along the way too =D
Did something really dumb today..forgot to bring my ic for the final theory test..had to postpone it till june..lolz..now everyone in the family calling me blur cock.how quaint.actually i really feel like a blur cock too.lol.

HELLO! yes its me again.Updating again after so much..hmm 10 of March, what a day...so many events happening today..Elaine's birthday(HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELAINE!!),OCS commisioning(CONGRATS TO YG),IT fair,NUS NTU open house and the Once in a blue moon IC2 Specs gathering!!thanks to Joseph,that bhb guy who tagged that organised it. needless to say, i chose to spent time with my fellow IC2 specs,forsaking all the other events and im glad i did :) Had a great time meeting up with all of them,and zavier and Warrant John made a special appearance,the latter whom bought us about 12 cans of tiger the moment he arrived..lolz.
sometimes, i wonder why most regulars like smoking and drinking, maybe becoz of the regimentation of the system that made them feel depressed with no avenue to release their oppressions?its only been a short 11 months for me,but i already feel jaded.guess army life is not really for me..hahaz.
